Where Are We?
Courses take place in Andalucia, Spain.
Tarifa:
Which is situated at is the western part of the Andalucía coastline that faces out to the Atlantic. The sand is finer and a more golden colour than the neighbouring Costa del Sol. The typical beaches here are more expansive and backed by sand dunes and pine trees. This part of the coast has not seen the high-rise hotel development of other areas. The temperatures are slightly milder and the often strong Atlantic winds and waves are favoured by wind surfers and surfboarders alike.
Gaucin:
Gaucin is a spectacularly beautiful mountain village commanding sweeping views to Gibraltar and the Rif mountains of North Africa. The village is situated against the backdrop of the Serranía de Ronda where, depending on the time of year, you can enjoy the full range of mountain plants in their bloom. Gaucin has a population of only 2000 and is perched 626 metres above sea level.
Tessorillo:
Tessorillo is located near the Straits of Gibraltar whose quiet beaches are only moments away. This quiet village is in the heart of orange grooves and the protected area of 27 hectare of marshland on the west bank of the estuary at the mouth of the River Guadiaro. It is of particular interest to birdwatchers but anybody can enjoy a stroll along the wooden walkways.
